Dental implants
A tooth that stays when you chew
If you hide a gap or avoid that side when you eat, an implant may be the path. The finished tooth is planned with the rest of the smile — not added later.
A plan starts with an examination.
Is this you?
- A tooth is already missing, or cannot be kept
- You do not want a removable partial
- You hide the gap when you smile or talk
- Chewing on that side feels uneven
- You want the replacement to look like it belongs
What this can change
The aim is a tooth that does not clip to a neighbor the way a removable partial might.
At Y Smile, how the new tooth looks is part of the implant plan. Cosmetic work and implant work are decided together.
What happens at Y Smile
01
Tell us what you want back
Book a consult in English or Spanish. Bring the smile you miss — eating, talking, or both.
02
Examination
Bone, bite, and the space decide whether an implant is the right next step. A plan is not chosen from this page.
03
A plan for the tooth and the smile
If treatment is appropriate, the shape and color of the finished tooth are planned with the implant, not as a later polish.
Which path may fit
A dental implant
Replaces the missing tooth on its own, without clipping to a neighbor.
A bridge
Closes the gap by anchoring to the teeth — or implants — next to the space. May be simpler when an implant is not the first choice.
A removable partial
Comes in and out. Some people prefer to avoid that. We will say so only after we have seen your mouth.
Questions about this treatment
Is an implant the only option?
No. A bridge or another restoration may fit better. We compare options after an examination — not from a website form.
Will it look like a natural tooth?
That is part of the plan at Y Smile. The look of the finished tooth is decided with the implant, not as an afterthought. What is appropriate depends on your mouth.
Does insurance help?
We work with most PPO dental plans and work with patients to maximize reimbursement for covered procedures. We verify your benefits before your appointment so coverage is clear and billing discrepancies are less likely. Financing is available. Medicaid does not cover cosmetic or implant care.
What if I wait?
A missing tooth can change how you chew and how neighboring teeth sit. Whether waiting is a problem for you is a clinical question. Book a consult and we will look.
